Digital executives from Nexstar, Tegna, Graham Media and Raycom will discuss the challenges of integrating digital news production and distribution into traditional television newsroom workflow at the sixth annual NewsTECHForum conference in New York on Dec. 11-12.

Four of the TV industry’s most forward-looking digital leaders will share how they are navigating the daily complexities of the multiplatform news jungle in a panel discussion at TVNewsCheck’s NewsTECHForum 2017.

Frank Mungeam, VP of digital content at Tegna Media; Anthony Katsur, SVP platforms at Nexstar; Catherine Badalamente, VP digital media at Graham Media Group; and Joe Fiveash, EVP of digital and strategy at Raycom Media, will gather for an in-depth conversation on how television news continues to intersect and evolve around critical audience platforms like OTT and social media. The discussion will take place Tuesday, Dec. 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the New York Hilton.

“Broadcasts’ digital leaders face some of the fastest-evolving priorities in the industry,” said TVNewsCheck Special Projects Editor Michael Depp, who will moderate the panel. “We’re going to take a close look at how newsrooms’ digital integration is playing out, how technology around content management systems is keeping up and how positions like the multiplatform managing editor are becoming increasingly indispensible. Frank, Tony, Catherine and Joe are on the front lines of all of these issues.”

NewsTECHForum, now in its sixth year, will feature keynote interviews with Campbell Brown, head of news partnerships at Facebook, and Micah Gelman, director of video and senior editor at The Washington Post. It will also feature sessions on Creating the Newsroom of the Future; The Contribution Revolution; Chasing Millennials in 2018; Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and the State of the Art in TV Graphics; and Drones & News Photography.

Set for Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 11-12, NewsTECHForum is co-located with the Sports Video Group Summit, where nearly 2,000 sports production and management executives gather to pursue excellence in sports production. NewsTECHForum attendees will have access to the SVG Summit’s program and its Technology Showcase of more than 60 exhibiting manufacturers.
