Mike Ellis

BBC, Cardiff Project

Mike Ellis is an enterprise architect working for the BBC where his main focus is on the production infrastructure. Starting with the BBC's TV Studio Engineering Team, he moved to BBC R&D where he specialized in DAB and IP networks, giving him a wide experience in radio, television, and online technologies.

From BBC R&D, he took on the role of technical architect for the BBC's newest production centers in MediaCity: UK and Broadcasting House. Now within the BBC Technology Strategy and Architecture Team, Ellis is part of the team choosing the BBC's path for the future, including leading the deployment of SMPTE 2110.
