Christie O’Sullivan

WTVT, Social Lead

Christie O'Sullivan is a 20-year news veteran who joined WTVT's digital team in 2015 as the station's social media coordinator. Together, the Fox 13 digital team more than quadrupled the station's online audience to more than two million, connecting with viewers locally and around the globe, and producing meaningful and unique content for the station's digital platforms, as well as for the Fox O&O group.

Prior to joining WTVT, O'Sullivan's travels have taken her to the Utah backcountry with the Associated Press and to Fox News in New York City, working with Fox affiliates nationwide and covering the attacks of September 11th. Having also field-produced during hurricanes and produced newscasts, O'Sullivan found a love for all things digital after launching her blog about motherhood and triathlons in 2006 and working on social media campaigns with global companies. She returned to news to produce special live streaming coverage on elections, trials, playoffs, and an online special seen around the world from the Bollywood green carpet for the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in Tampa.

O'Sullivan graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in political science. She has been a writer and storyteller since the age of five, telling stories into her microphone and tape recorder in her bedroom. When she's not obsessing over the latest digital trends and producing videos, O'Sullivan spends her time with her husband shivering at the ice rink watching their two sons play hockey.
