Katie Larson

Magid, VP, Brand Strategy and Innovation

As vice president of brand strategy and innovation at Magid, Katie Larson works on developing brand extension strategies across digital and social platforms for a wide range of media clients. She helps them understand the unique experience consumers expect from each platform – from social and mobile to OTT – and how that fits within the client’s own brand and goals.

Larson has the ability to evaluate resources and workflows and identify efficiencies for creating and delivering content across multiple platforms. She is able to effectively look at the high-level strategies of an organization, as well as granular workflows, and can create training sessions around best practices that meet the needs of both.

Prior to joining Magid, Larson managed the video operations group for the Speed Channel, a division of Fox Sports Media Group. In this role, she oversaw the production and distribution of both long- and short-form video content for the network. Distribution platforms included the authenticated broadband channel, video on-demand cable, podcasts, EST partnerships, mobile offerings, Hulu, and other non-linear distribution platforms. Larson played a key role in launching Fox’s first authenticated broadband channel, Speed2, and has worked with various CMS platforms and vendors. Video distribution and viewership made more than 100 percent gains during her time with Speed.
