Robert Lydick

TEGNA, VP, Information Technology and Station Operations

Robert Lydick is the VP of information technology and station operations at TEGNA. He is responsible for the enterprise information technology, station operations, cyber security, and special projects for the 47 stations and two radio stations. Previously, Lydick ran station operations for TEGNA. Prior to the corporate roles, he was the regional director of technology for KSDK and KARE.

Lydick has managed multiple major TEGNA group wide projects including helping build the Design TANK (Formerly the Gannett Graphics Group), Master Control Hub and Spoke project, Newsroom Workflow Redesign project, Daily Blast Live Project, and many others. Recently, he oversaw disaster recovery and rebuilding operations for KHOU when the TV station was forced to evacuate. While managing technology and operations at KSDK, Lydick handled station security, logistics, production, and coordination during KSDK’s unprecedented on-going coverage of the civil unrest in Ferguson, MO.

Lydick graduated from Lynchburg College with a degree in business administration and a minor in communications. He is a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers and Northern Virginia Technology Council.
