Barry Nash and Company, Talent Coach

Barry Nash has been coaching and researching television news talent since 1982, and is widely regarded as one of the television industry’s premiere on-air performance experts.  He has coached talent and advised television management on the network and local station levels in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and talent he has coached present news to tens of millions of people around the world every day.
 
As a researcher, Barry has pioneered the use of advanced text analytics to extract insight about news and news talent from research verbatims. He is also the designer and curator of TV HeadCoach™, the world’s only app/portal designed to support the coaching and development of television news, weather and sports talent.

Barry has been profiled in the American Journalism Review and New Yorker magazine.  He has served as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Journalism at Colorado State University and been a featured educator for the State Bar of Texas.

As an actor, Mr. Nash has been recognized for his work on stage and in the title role of the award-winning independent film, Bob Birdnow’s Remarkable Tale of Human Survival and the Transcendence of Self.  He remains an artistic company member with Dallas’ acclaimed Kitchen Dog Theater.

He graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in Theater Arts at Southwestern University and graduated magna cum laude from Trinity University with an MFA in Theater and Performance, in 1982.
