Brian Hopman
Associated Press, VP & GM, Workflow SolutionsBrian Hopman has been vice president and general manager, workflow solutions for the Associated Press since 2016. Hopman manages a global team that develops, sells and supports software solutions used by media outlets in the production of live programming including news, sports and entertainment shows.
Prior to his current role, Hopman managed the AP’s business with clients in Latin America, the Caribbean and the U.S. Hispanic markets. Previously, he worked as technical marketing coordinator after joining AP in 1998. Prior to joining AP, he held newsroom roles at Hearst’s WBAL-TV in Baltimore and WISN-TV in Milwaukee.
Born in Chicago, Hopman holds a B.A. in Political Science and Broadcast Journalism from Marquette University and an Executive MBA from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He also studied at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. He lives with his family in Washington, DC.
