Lisa Allen, VP and GM, Gray Television Washington Operations

Lisa Allen oversees company operations on Capitol Hill, ensuring their close integration with Gray’s 100+ newsrooms. Plus, she leads the D.C. News Bureau, where regional reporters serve Gray’s local stations across the country. The D.C. bureau is known for its national political reporting, led by White House correspondent and senior national editor Jon Decker. It’s home to Local News Live, Gray’s 24/7 live streaming news network, and is home to the Washington-based team of investigative journalists, under Gray’s VP of Investigations, Lee Zurik.

Previously, Allen served as executive producer of Full Court Press with Greta Van Susteren. The weekend political show focused on policy actions and national events impacting local communities. It featured interviews with the President and Vice President, Speaker of the House, Senate Minority Leader and more. Allen also produced a weekday show for Gray, informing viewers on daily COVID updates, during the height of the pandemic.

Before her time at Gray, Allen worked as a supervising producer for Newsy’s Chicago bureau. She also held producer roles at other television stations in New York, Chicago, and Detroit, and co-produced in-depth investigative programs.

Allen holds a Master of Arts in Media Studies & International Affairs from the New School and is a graduate of Wayne State University
