Marc Lefebvre, Senior Director of Operations, CBC News

Marc Lefebvre is the senior director of operations for CBC News, where he leads and provides strategic oversight of media operations, production, processes, resources and technical services across CBC’s journalism division in support of editorial and audience objectives.

With a background in producing lifestyle and entertainment programs, Lefebvre has held several leadership roles in operations at CBC, having overseen regional operations in Western Canada and then content management for the organization before taking on his current role in the spring of 2022.

Lefebvre has established himself as a transformational leader within CBC, guiding his teams to reorganize and redefine themselves in alignment with CBC’s audience strategy and to enable success on digital platforms. He believes in enhancing the employee experience by empowering teams to improve workflows, simplify tools and forge a more collaborative, open and inclusive culture.
