Michael Masek has been with NBCUniversal since 2008 where he began his technical career in the broadcast engineering field as a project coordinator at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
In 2014, Masek became director of graphics engineering, where he oversaw a team of engineers responsible for the architecting and support of on-air graphics for all of NBC news and entertainment divisions in New York.
Most recently in 2022, Masek transitioned to his current role of senior director of production application engineering. In this role he is responsible for the creation of NBCUniversal’s Virtual Production Control Room (VPCR) which allows live production to be created in both private and public cloud environments.
Masek is from Milford, Conn., where he continues to reside with his wife, 10-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter.
